As a physician, I know that voting is critical to protecting and advancing health care.
To me and many of my colleagues in medicine who practice in Wisconsin, elections are critical to the health, well-being and security of the patients we serve. From president down to state legislator to local elected positions, the votes we cast for candidates up and down the ballot will determine whether Wisconsinites get access to affordable care or continue to face barriers to treatments and therapies that can improve health and even save lives.
While many of us may be mesmerized by high-profile national candidates, we cannot lose sight of races at the state and local levels.
